John Ensor is President of the international pro-life outreach at PassionLife.org.
Although abortion presents itself as a cultural and political battle in the US, only twenty-five percent of US pregnancies end in abortion,
America accounts for a very small percentage of abortions worldwide. This week John Ensor puts the statistics in context for us.
Hotspots include Asia, Eastern Europe, and the Caribbean, especially Cuba, which has the highest abortion rates in the world, likely due to the dire poverty rates. The common factor in all these areas is communism and materialism as the predominant worldview, unlike the Christian worldview which teaches the inherent value of every human being. We discuss:
- What sets America apart, even though abortion remains legal here?
- Is there a knowledge gap at the level of seminary and pastoral training? If so, what is the answer?
- What is the comparison between child sacrifice in the Old Testament and the practice abortion in our world today?
As President of Passion Life, John is training pastors and local churches to rescue lives and spread the Gospel.
