My radio career began as Anne Jackson at WJON in St. Cloud, MN. I was known as Kim Jeffries at KS95 and WCCO Radio and TV in the Twin Cities. I began using my married name when I made the switch to Christian radio at Faith Radio and KTIS in the Twin Cities and New Life FM in Griffin, GA. Cradle My Heart Radio focused on finding God’s love–especially during unintended pregnancy and after abortion. Eventually over 800 stations aired our short feature Cradle My Heart Today which we brought to a close in 2018, before reviving as a weekly broadcast from 2022-2023 in Phoenix.
As I moved from being a dj and music director to hosting roles in morning radio and then television news before hosting talk shows for both general market and Christian radio formats, the best moments through it all have been the fantastic fun of interviewing wise and wonderful guests.
Cradle My Heart Radio episodes prior to 2022 are also archived at Faith Radio. Also available on iTunes.
Inducted into the Minnesota Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2013
My book, Cradle My Heart, Finding God’s Love After Abortion won First Place at the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference in 2010, and was a Finalist for the ECPA Book of the Year Awards (New Author category) in 2013. I continue to write and speak, having retired from broadcasting in 2018. I also serve in abortion recovery ministry through the local pregnancy center.
My training includes studying Theater and Communications at Northwestern University in Evanston, and I earned a B.S. in Ministry at University of Northwestern, St. Paul in 2008. I also studied Applied Bio-ethics at Oklahoma Wesleyan University in 2016 with Scott Klusendorf, John Ensor, Marc Newman and others. I am currently working towards a lay chaplaincy certification with Christian Chaplains and Coaches.
Stories are so powerful. When I tell our stories, I picture a world of women and men healed after that life-altering mistake. Drawing on my faith and my own experience of child loss through “choice” I offer practical steps for releasing the grief and guilt and walking in newness of life. And because I know and appreciate the special struggles men face, I offer resources and referrals for men too.
And in the end I hope our stories prevent anyone else from suffering as we have–I want to encourage and empower you to make a better choice.
I’d love to hear from you! Please send me a confidential note to share your heart or just to tell me your story.
God cares, and so do I.
