According to Coleman, “The truth comes through the data. . . We do know that abortion is detrimental to a very high percentage of women. And it’s not a healthy choice as the mainstream pitches it.”
The study of the psychological impact of abortion on women dates back to the days prior to Roe v Wade and legalization. Mining the sparse early studies created a drive in Coleman to learn more. She notes that by 2008 a proliferation of studies confirmed abortion significantly increases mental health risks to women.
We also discuss the climate of suppression and censorship of her research. Although she does not work in the faith-based realm, Dr. Coleman is a believer in Jesus Christ. She says, “I feel supported by God, and I feel supported by truth and by the science.”
Dr. Coleman is slates as a Keynote Speaker at the upcoming healthcare conference titles, The Clinical Impact of Reproductive Choice in North Dakota in April, 2023. Details and registration links available here.
