Marc Lucas joins us this week to talk about preventing abortion in the face of teen pregnancy. Many parents are not aware that even in places where parental consent is required, any teen can obtain an abortion without their parent ever knowing it has happened.
We discussed the scenario presented in the foreign film Memoir of a Veering Storm.
And we present ideas for avoiding that storm. Surprisingly, the American Association of Pediatrics does not advocate for mandatory parental involvement. And many abortion businesses have procedures in place to help teens obtain a judicial bypass which leaves parents out of the decision altogether, even in states where minors must obtain parental consetnt.
Church resources include ministries like Embrace Grace and Pro-Grace. Lucas also referenced the He Gets Us campaign to model Christ-like care for life’s most difficult issues.
From Marc’s bio: Marc Lucas has served as a pastor for a combined 15 years with two mega-churches in the Valley: Sun Valley Community Church and Highlands Church. He’s an alumni of Arizona Christian University with a degree in Biblical Studies. He is currently the Local Ministry Director at Faith Talk 1360. He has been married to his wife Tammy, for 16 years and they have 3 beautiful kids Kaylen 14, Kenzie 10 and Karson 6.
