Rebecca Kiessling was conceived in rape before abortion was legal. She says that she wasn’t born because she was wanted, but rather she was born because her life was protected under the law.
As the founder of Savethe1.com she has worked to help pastors to preach and counsel those impacted by pregnancy after rape. The biblical basis for her ministry is Matthew 18:10-14, “See that you do not despise one of these little ones…”
In this episode we discuss:
- Why exceptions for rape in laws against abortion are unethical
- Why some pastors make the problem worse with unbiblical counsel and preaching
- How to be the church to women in crisis after rape or other pregnancy crises.
Rebecca’s work with clergy on this issue is summarized here.
